Garden City, N.Y. - Save the Date! The Fifth Annual Black History Month Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, 2007 in the Ruth S. Harley University Center and features keynote speaker Adelphi Trustee Gerry House. Check out the photo gallery below from last year's event at which guests were treated to a wonderful buffet breakfast and an entertaining performance by the Adelphi Hip Hop Team. Kenneth Banks '74, founder and CEO of Banks Contracting Company, Inc., was the event keynote speaker. Multicultural Alumni Chapter President Grady Faulkner '75 also addressed the crowd. Caesar Raynor '70 introducted Mr. Banks and also presented him with a special gift from members of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. Alumnus Alethia Ali '05 closed the afternoon by leading the crowd in the Black National Anthem.
