Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Mark Pollard (Deer Park, N.Y.) and sophomore Caitlin Fitzpatrick (Port Washington, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the Week for the week of April 14, 2008.

Fitzpatrick, who made 11 stops in a 14-10 win over sixth-ranked Stonehill, was named ECC Co-Goalkeeper of the Week. She faced 28 shots and held Stonehill scoreless on all seven of its position attempts.

Fitzpatrick is currently ranked third in Division II in save percentage (0.559) and sixth in goals-against average (8.61). Adelphi (9-0) travels to North Andover, Massachusetts this afternoon for a non-conference match against Merrimack College.

Adelphi returns to action on April 15 when they travel to North Andover, Massachusetts to take on Merrimack.

Pollard two top-five finishes and four top-10's at the Kings Point Coach "O" Invitational. He placed third in the long jump with a leap of 6.38 meters, seventh in the 400, 50.31, and 10th in the 200 with a time of 22.55. He also anchored the 4x400 meter relay team to a season best time of 3:24.62 and a fourth place finish.

Adelphi returns to the track on Saturday, April 19 when they travel to Center Valley, Pennsylvania to compete in the Collegiate Track Conference outdoor championships.
