Garden City, N.Y. - Freshman Tom Eickelberg (Leonia, NJ) and sophomore Amy Williams (Bloomington, IN) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the Week for the week of November 12, 2007.

Eickelberg helped the Panthers to a 111-42 win over Pace University on Novemb er 10 by picking up two individual first place finishes and one relay first. Individually Eickelberg won the 1000 yard freestyle (10:44.72) and the 100 yard butterfly (1:00.32), he also swam the third leg of Adelphi's first place 200 yard medley relay (1:47.06).

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, November 17 when they take part in the Rowan Cup in Glassboro, New Jersey.

Williams helped the Panthers to a 3-1 win over Bridgeport and a berth in the ECC tournament semi-finals for the first time in school history. The Panthers fell in the semis to New Haven, but Williams was named to the All-Tournament team after collecting 35 digs, six assists and one service ace.

Adelphi returns to action on Thursday, November 15 when the Panthers travel to Oakdale, New York to face #2 Bryant in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
