Nov. 29, 2007

Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University golf team supported a fellow student when called upon this week. Sabrina Rahaganda, a student and worker in the Department of Health and Physical Education had her home destroyed in a fire recently and the golf team came together and collected clothing to donate to Sabrina and her family.

The members of the golf team presented Sabrina with the clothing on November 26 in the Office of Physical Education. "The students on the team expressed their concern about Sabrina's family and asked how they could help," Head Golf Coach Scott Allen said. "I am very proud of the team's effort to help the Rahaganda family and happy the team could help."

If anyone is interested in helping the Rahaganda family please contact Denise Borst in the Office of Physical Education.
