Garden City, NY - Freshman Zachary Terzano (West Hempstead, NY) has been announced East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Co-Swimmer of the week by the conference office for the week of February 28, 2008. This is the first time Zerzano has received this honor.

During his first season as a Panther, Terzano has hit two NCAA B-cut standards, first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:41.78 and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:40.02, along with qualifying in eight events for the ECAC Championship meet.

Terzano is the son of Son of Gabe and Linda and his major is undecided. Zachary is also a member of the Long Island Aquatic Club National Team.

Adelphi Swimming has begun their post season action competing at the ECAC Championships in Pittsburgh, PA through Sunday, March 2.
