Garden City, N.Y. - Senior midfielder Denise Auer (Holbrook, N.Y.) was named a first-team Daktronics Inc. All-Northeast Region selection as announced by the on Wednesday, November 7 and voted on by the region's sports information directors.

Auer, Adelphi's top offensive midfielder, leads the team in assists with four and is second in both goals (6) and points (16). Auer was also a first-team All-East Coast Conference selection this season and has one game winning goal.

She is a three-time All-ECC selection, twice on the first-team and is also a 2006 CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree.

Women's soccer returns to action on Friday, November 9 when they take on Slippery Rock in the first round of the Division II NCAA Tournament.
