Coach Smith says, "Dely has the speed and ability to track down balls from foul pole to foul pole. She has worked her way into the vocal leader that we need in centerfield. Offensively, her speed forces team to focus their attention on her. Dely's ability to get on base at the top of the lineup will set the tone for our games."

Honors & Awards: Second-Team All-ECC (2006)...ECC Softball Scholar Athlete of the Year (2006)...Diverse Issues in Higher Education Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar (2006)...NFCA Scholar-Athlete (2007, 2006, 2005)...2007 J.B.Nash Award recipient by the NYS AHPERD, for the top female physical education major in New York State.

2007: Played in 47 games with 40 starts...hit .253 with two triples, including one in at the NCAA Northeast Regional Tournament vs. Georgian Court...second in stolen bases with 10.

2006: Made 45 starts in 46 appearances...set a new single-season school record and led the ECC with 21 stolen bases...was second on the team in batting average (.386) and runs scored (34)...Recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall of 2005.

2005: Made nine starts in 35 appearances...hit .313 in 32 at-bats...tied for second on team with 10 stolen bases.

At North Rockland High School: A member of the varsity softball team as a junior and senior ...first team all-league, all-section and all-county selection both years... named rookie of the year as a junior and team MVP as a senior...a member of the National, foreign language, science, math, social studies and business honor societies...earned all-around student award.
