Hempsted, NY - Adelphi Women's Tennis faced tough competition in the semi-final round of the ECC Women's Championship Tournament as they fell to the Concordia College Clippers, 6-0. Despite the loss, the Panthers still come away with a fourth place finish in the conference. With the majority of the match decided by doubles competition, the Panthers saw close games in the first and third spots. Tricia Burns (Bristol, CT) and Katie Flynn (Hicksville, N.Y.) in the number three spot brought the match to 7-9 against Celise Sesanker and Amy Boyd. The Panthers will now turn their attention to the ECC singles competition set to take place Saturday, October 13 at Queens College, Flushing, New York. |
