On October 6, 2007, Adelphi University celebrated the grand opening of William J. Bonomo Memorial Field. The 1.4 million dollar baseball complex is constructed of field turf with cut outs for the bases, home plate and the pitcher's mound. The field also includes new 50-foot dugouts, enclosed bullpens with two pitchers mounds and seating for 500 fans as well as bathrooms and storage space.

The entire field is enclosed and the outfield features and eight-foot high fence with wind screen. The upgrades will allow Adelphi to hold both conference and regional playoffs, as well as tournaments.
